In the summer of 2015 I meticulously planned my first bike tour to celebrate my graduation from architecture school. I hastily left Chicago at 4pm resulting on midnight centuries my first few nights out as I strove to stick to schedule on my way to Seattle. When I hit the Rockies I couldn’t help but continue as far north as I could until I succumbed to the cold with my lightweight summer gear. In Jasper, Alberta, I turned back south to my original destination. After a week in Seattle, I knew I wasn’t ready for the trip to end, so I hit the coast and rode through the gradients and bliss of the Pacific to San Francisco ending a 4,000 mile summer.
