As an early curtain wall facade, thermal bridging and solar transfer are large issues for the Mies designed Commonwealth Plaza building. These issues were especially pressing on the South side of the building. As a part of an 18-person team, we investigated solutions to these issues from every aspect and possibility and compiled a report to deliver to the owner’s association to review possible actions.
